Review: The movie ‘Golmaal Again’ comes with a clear tagline,’Iss Diwali Logic Nahi, Sirf Magic’, and that is what the movie is all about. Don’t go to cinema halls expecting a heartwarming story or a story that will make you learn something, but for a good, heart-full laugh. It is a movie for you if you are a big fan of ‘Golmaal’ franchise, Rohit Shetty’s action and slapstick comedy.
The movie starts with Anna Mathew (Tabu) introducing us to her special power where she can see and talk to spirits and then introducing us to the characters Gopal (Ajay Devgn) who is scared of ghosts, Madhav (Arshad Warsi), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), Laxman (Shreyas) and Laxman (Kunal Kemmu). All the while the direction of Rohit Shetty, makes sure to keep you intrigued about the plot.
The first half of the movie is gripping and full of laughter moments, the movie gets into an interval with a shocking revelation about Parineeti Chopra (Damini/Khushi), which was very much predictable from the first scene when she appeared on screen.
The second half of the movie is more about the actual story of the movie and revenge drama all through, but the laughter moments don’t stop and the makers make sure to keep it lighthearted and entertaining.
The movie just a couple of songs and all of them are catchy and well placed. Shreyas as Laxman with his unique speaking style stands out of the lot, and Babli Bhai (Sanjay Mishra) and Puppy (Johnny Lever) give some really amazing laughter moments in the movie.
Overall, the movie is highly recommended family entertainer with a touch of horror which in turn results in more and more healthy laughter.
